I need help. I can solo Parts Of Fow but Not others, heres what i can solo.





The white area i cant do for the following: Theres one group with 4 monks, WTF. i cant take on 4 heal areas.

Whenever i try to agrro a small group, i attack a bit, then a whole nother group comes so it can heal the group.

i normally take out the group on my left, then mesmers, then abbasls, so then i want to take out the group on my right of the spawn. all of a suden champion of balth starts running to the temple, WTF i didnt even take the quest!


Can anyone give me some tips or pointers to help me out here. Thanks in advance.


And if you cannot deal with the mesmers, try again, it took me 15plats to get used of it, but now i get an average of 4 shards for soloing the a small bit of Fow. It is worth it.

You can clear the white area too. The 4 monks are doable, 3 beasts will pop out from same area the 4 monks are stationed at. Make sure to kill the 2 patrols before messing with the monks at the bottom. Stay at range and put some pressure on the monks with SS's till they start losing out on health(may take a minute or 2.) LEad the beasts right up to the monks at this point and let them start catching the aoe too. the monks will start wasting heals on the shadow beasts and if you're lucky they will drop.

I take it you're going the back way after killing the first mesmer, 2 ele, shadow warrior, and hidden shadow beast then killing abyssals and rangers. you can do this but dont kill the 1 abyssal and 2 rangers that are stationed at the spot where rastigan normally stops until you've cleared a path for rasti to come through first. Just like 8 person fow you have to clear the path for rastigan before killing that first group of rangers and abyssals.

That group is the trigger for rastigan to run to tower. You can go into fow and take quest at the very start and it does nothing until you kill the above mentioned group. Rastigan will not take off running if you grab quest right at the beginning , if you wish to grab quest as soon as you load into fow. I do this every load into fow to solo so I dont have to deal with him until after I complete the quest for an easy 5k and a chance at a purple rare skinned item

Thanks. But the 2 patrosl with 1 shadow and 1 monk, I cnanot kill. Should i let them combin so theres 2 monks and 2 shadows? Or at the very beggening theres a warrior and a shadow patroling, i dont aggro them, instead i aggro them along with the monks so I get sufficent energy?

I love this build, only problem I have is the initial energy recharge after casting the first 3 spells. If I get caught by a single or even double enemy my energy isn't charging up to full or when monsters are finally killed I have to hold up and charge up again. Get 2-3 Hydras or Griffons and energy is no longer a problem.

Other than that build is great and a ton of fun.

I suggest for peropl who are having problem with this build in FoW practice with there Mo/N if they have any.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong with this build. I have 5 enchantments maintained during the aggro but I can't seem to sustain myself against minos.

Anyone know why >_>?

You're taking on too many.
If you want to take a lot, grab Guardian, and keep it up at all times.

ok iv got every thing iv done uw and iv made some ectos i have a few problems (sorta workin on em) but when i aggro say first part of aatxe they attack i start with full energy + enchants = about a loss of 20 energy which brgs me to 24 or 26 cant remember but then i need to cast interupt spell which if they dont interupt for some reason (they arent thinking) i have to use price of failure

(takes 3 seconds to cast + i find it more useful+same energy cost)

any ways they seem to keep attackin its great what there doin but i find the +2 off every attack aggroing maybe 2 every time till NM's are gone just doesnt keep replenishing energy enough to keep 2 enchants + ss + interupt skills any ideas?

(sorry if i repeated myself tired had hockey)

Either cast Guardian or Insideous Parasite.

i was goofin around using the uw build and was doing pretty damn good at sorrows furnace with it. hardest part is the degen buggers.

now i have a new proble, i can clear basically everything on my left, but when ever i attack the 2 patrolling elementalist, the whole group gets aggroed, hapenned to me 4 times. any tips or pointers to help me out. thanks in advance


a few pics of me in fow, geting it at a certain angle so cant see any creatures.

Just like to say this thread has been very useful, and what I'd like to add is that for Titan farming the secondary (after SS) Necro damage skill I use is Life Siphon, which is spammable on multiple targets (2 second recharge) and each time casts add +2 heath regen pips. At 5 blood you get 17 seconds of use.

Draw the guards to you first, kill them, THEN kill the 2 patrolling ele's.....just like in the video.

The patrolling ele's trigger the guards....but I'm sure you figured that out.

Before I say anything else, I just want to thank KCP and the Preacher for popularizing this build, and more importantly (to me) bringing it to my attention that 55 Monks aren't the only 55 build possible (yes, I'm a newb... sue me :-P).

I just finished up getting all the runes/armor/weapons for my necro to try this out tonight, so I went ahead and did The Monk's Path then ran around and grabbed Essence Bond, Balth's Aura (or is it Spirit?), Prot Spirit, and Mending. Set up my Necro with... 1-Mending, 2-Balth's, 3-Essence, 4-Prot Spirit, 5-Breeze, 6-Orison, 7-Awaken the Blood, 8-SS. Attempted to Troll run for a bit with that, until I realized I was just getting too swarmed inside the cave by the trolls. So I went and grabbed Guardian, threw that in place of AtB and headed back out. Got frustrated trying to kill Trolls and either getting interrupted when using SS, or just getting swarmed and attempting to keep my health up while failing miserably.

Mapped over to Augory and reconfigured my skill setup, so it was 1-Prot, 2-Breeze, 3-Guardian, 4-Orison, 5-SS, 6-Mending, 7-Balth's, 8-Essence. Ran out and started killing Minos/Rockshots pretty quickly/easily. Hit a few snags against the Rockshots (damn those multiple traps.... its like insta-death if you forget about them) and died a few times if I got interrupted, but didn't do too horribly.

Then I started to do some of the math for Essence Bond in my head.... and thats when I realized how little it actually does, and how almost detrimental it is. Seeing as how we're running N/Mo's, we don't actually have any Divine Favor points (duh) which makes it only have 10% increased enchantment time. The only 2 enchantments we're actually casting on ourselves, that aren't maintained, are Prot Spirit and Healing Breeze. Now, my Prot/Healing skills aren't up as high as they should be, since I haven't done the 2 15 pt quests yet.... but I know Breeze stays at 10 seconds no matter what, which adds 1 second total... and my Prot is at 15 seconds now, which adds 1.5 seconds. While, that may be the difference maker between life and death... I found that in attempting to pull off my SS I'd either get stuck with no energy if there were fewer than 5 enemies around, or I'd take forever to regen in between battles. So after a bit I just took it off and kept it off. Sure, I lose the 1-2 seconds on both my Prot and Breeze, but I also regen my energy faster between and during battles. Saved my butt quite a few times when my Prot was about to run out (yes, I know EB would've extended it, but I wouldn't have had enough energy to recast when it ran out anyway) as well as allowed me to stall a bit to pull off an extra SS, then Orison myself back up to full health with a bit of help from my Mending to maintain until I get enough for Breeze again.

Now, thats just my view on the subject and you guys can do whatever you want... especially since my view is a little skewed due to it not being exactly what its supposed to be, but so far thats what I've seen. Once again I'd like to thank Preacher and KCP, and I'm gonna continue to play around with my N/Mo for 55 farming, seeing as how my friend with his 55 monk just got in trouble with his parents so I dunno when I'm gonna be SS/SV UW farming with him anytime soon, which was one of the main reasons I made a necro.

Your supposed to be using essence bond not blessed aura.
Essence bond gives you energy everytime you get hit.
Blessed aura is the one that increases enchantment time.
